Install IBO Player on your device
On Android TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android phones and tablets, and iPhone or iPad, search for IBO Player in the device’s own store and install it. On an Amazon Fire TV Stick the app is not listed, so install the free Downloader utility first, then open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and allow installs from unknown sources.
-
Open the app and write down two values
Launch IBO Player. Before any playlist is attached it displays a MAC address and a device key on screen. These two values identify your hardware. Photograph the screen or write both down exactly — they are case-sensitive.
-
Send the MAC and device key to KeyCast
Message the two values to our desk on WhatsApp, or reply to your activation email with them. This is the only manual step, and it exists so that you never have to type a long playlist URL using a television remote.
-
We bind your playlist remotely
Our team attaches your KeyCast line to that MAC and device key from the server side. It takes a couple of minutes. You will get a confirmation message when it is done — there is nothing for you to do while you wait.
-
Restart IBO Player
Close the app fully and reopen it. The dashboard now shows Live TV, Movies and Series tiles populated with your grid. If it still looks empty, use the refresh option on the dashboard rather than reinstalling.
-
Tidy the Live TV section
A 22,000-channel list is unusable until you shape it. Open Live TV, then Manage Categories in Settings, and hide every region you will never watch. What remains is a grid you can actually navigate with a remote.
-
Build a Favourites list
Highlight a channel, press and hold OK (or the menu button) and add it to Favourites. Twenty pinned channels covers most households entirely. The list is stored against your line, so it survives an app reinstall or a move to new hardware.
-
Set the players and check playback
In Settings, the Live TV Player and VOD Player options let you switch decoder. If a channel stutters, change the player here before blaming the stream — hardware decoders behave differently across manufacturers. Also try the HD, UHD, 720p or HEVC variant of the same channel.
-
Enable auto-boot if this is your main TV
Settings → Auto Boot on Start makes IBO Player open automatically when the television powers on, which turns the setup into something that behaves like a cable box for anyone else in the house.
-
Know where the reset switches are
Two options solve most later problems: Clear Cache, which fixes stale artwork and sluggish menus, and Check for Updates, which pulls the current build. Neither removes your playlist. If a problem survives both, message the desk and we will move your line to another host.
